Future Continuous (will be + V-ing):

Expresses an ongoing activity that will be in progress at a specific moment in the future.

Example: I will be speaking at 10 AM tomorrow.
நான் நாளை காலை 10 மணிக்கு பேசிக் கொண்டிருப்பேன்.

7. Common Mistakes - பொதுவான தவறுகள்

  • ❌ I will spoke to him tomorrow.
  • ✅ I will speak to him tomorrow. (Always use the base verb V1 after will/shall)
  • ❌ She will speaking in Tamil.
  • ✅ She will speak in Tamil. (Do not use -ing form directly after will)
  • ❌ He will speaks to you soon.
  • ✅ He will speak to you soon. (Do not add '-s' to the base verb after modal verbs)

8. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - அடிக்கடி கேட்கப்படும் கேள்விகள்

1. What is the basic rule for Simple Future Tense?

The formula is: Subject + will / shall + Base Verb (V1).
• Affirmative: I will speak.
• Negative: I won't speak.
• Interrogative: Will you speak?

2. Can we use 'going to' instead of 'will'?

Yes. be going to + V1 is also used for planned future actions (e.g., I am going to speak to him tomorrow), whereas will is frequently used for instant decisions, promises, and predictions.

3. Do we add '-s' or '-ed' to the verb after 'will'?

No. The verb after modal auxiliaries like will or shall must strictly remain in its bare infinitive form (V1) without any endings (e.g., will speak, not will speaks or will spoke).
