5. Time Expressions - காலத்தைக் குறிக்கும் சொற்றொடர்கள்
Future Perfect Tense sentences usually rely on specific time bounds starting with by or before:
- by tomorrow / by next week: நாளைக்குள் / அடுத்த வாரத்திற்குள்
- by 5 PM / by 8 AM: மாலை 5 மணிக்குள் / காலை 8 மணிக்குள்
- by the time you arrive: நீங்கள் வரும் நேரத்திற்குள்
- before the deadline: கடைசி நேரத்திற்கு முன்பே
6. Future Perfect vs. Simple Future
Understanding the distinction between these two tenses prevents common timeline confusion:
Simple Future (will + V1):
Points to an event that occurs at a general future time.
Example: I will finish my work tomorrow.
நான் நாளை எனது வேலையை முடிப்பேன்.
Future Perfect (will have + V3):
Emphasizes that an action will already be completed prior to a specific deadline or secondary future event.
Example: I will have finished my work by 5 PM tomorrow.
நாளை மாலை 5 மணிக்குள் நான் எனது வேலையை முடித்துவிட்டிருப்பேன்.

8. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - அடிக்கடி கேட்கப்படும் கேள்விகள்
1. What is the basic formula for Future Perfect Tense?
The standard structure is: Subject + will have / shall have + V3 (Past Participle).
• Affirmative: I will have finished.
• Negative: I won't have finished.
• Interrogative: Will you have finished?
2. Can I use 'will has' with Third-Person Singular (He/She/It)?
No. Modal verbs like will must be followed by the base auxiliary form have. Expressions like will has finished are incorrect. Always use will have for all subjects.
3. What tense is used in the time clause after 'by the time'?
Use the Simple Present Tense in the time clause (e.g., By the time you come, I will have finished cooking). Do not use will come or will have come in the secondary clause.
